I am the owner of 101Gamers community, a moderately known website with a name meaning we accept any gamer, whether the 'I play on my iPhone' type to the 'I have a MAME cabinet and ROM set' type!
I'm interested in Cammy, gaming in general, technology (specifically: The Internet and AI), online discussion and cosplay. I also have an interest in snooker.
My favourite films are Snatch (2000) and Terminator 2 (1991) - the former because of its truly British humour and the latter for its darkness and obvious link to AI.
Sometimes I read things and my favourite author is the classical Charles Dickens. I've read a few of his shorter works and Great Expectations and clearly enjoyed them as I love the descriptive and memorable prose they used back in those times.
Despite the fact I'm not really sociable IRL, I do talk a lot online and have a lot of online friends (LKRJC, Rach, Yushe, among others)... I suppose that is why I use so many community websites too.

I hope I enjoy my stay on the Ubuntu forums. I deleted Mac OS X from my Air and decided to put Xubuntu 16.04 onto it, I'm enjoying so far.
The website interface could be improved a lot, it's really confusing.
(PS I'm Spiralcannon2-CW if other people might known me here)

Hey everyone. My name is Acacio, 39, and fairly new on Ubuntu. Used it at work, for some time (budget cuts...). It wasn't a bad experience at all.
My quest here is to get the best distro to revive old laptops and desktops (at least with Win Vista or XP) in order to make them work. I have 2 computers here and I would really like to return them to life. Also know some relatives that don't want to buy new ones...and still want to operate them!
I would appreciate any thought on distros for old machines.

Hi Acacio and welcome to the forum.
As this is not a support thread, if you need any further help you'll have the best chance if you post a new thread in a support area. Good luck.
