I run the fluxbox Window Manager and I started using thunar instead of nautilus. Thunar will not open in the workspace, position and dimensions I chose. It "forgets" after the window is closed. Any help to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

Bump. I can't be the only one who has experienced this problem.

I'm sorry I can't help, I use Fluxbox and Thunar and if I open Thunar on a blank desktop it always opens in the top left corner, but if I open it in a desktop with Firefox or similar, Thunar always opens in the bottom left corner.

Did this happen after you chose position, workspace, dimension, etc with the right click menu?

Windows has and has always had zero TCO, because Microsoft owns it and you never do. You may be charged for the joy of possibly being allowed to use Windows, if you're a good boy or girl. But it's really totally free of ownership costs.

Fluxbox has a remember feature already it just doesn't seem to work in this one instance with Thunar. I'd hate to introduce Devilspie into the mix too.

If I right click on Thunar's top I get 'shade', 'stick' etc down to 'remember' but it will not highlight any of the settings here, seems stuck on 'jump to workspace'Originally Posted by entikryst
