I have an AR242X wireless card. Which release will support it the best?

I have a heard and read horror stories about people being unable to get a wireless connection with an AR242X wireless card. I was wondering if there is a specific release that would allow me to get the connection with a minimal amount of pain? I am very new to Linux, and would rather avoid too much terminal mayhem if possible.

    HI

Try a live session of latest stable 'Karmic' live cd, if it works there you go. Nothing to install nothing to uninstall, remove cd.

"terminal mayhem" I haven't had to use terminal since Jaunty. Of course power users will want a terminal, but us 2clickers need not worry if they are willing to learn.
