    onboard layout

    hi,

how do i make onboard show a new layout and where do i download the layout from? i can change the layout, i mean i can change what is written when a key is pressed, but when i use onboard it still shows the old layout and not the new one that is currently in use. is not oboard supposed to change it automatically like the onscreen keyboard in windows?

    regards,

    Re: onboard layout

If you are talking about multi-language keyboard support, then in gnome, keyboard preferences, just add another layout. I have russian and english keyboard layouts and with a gnome-panel keyboard switcher, with one click, I can switch keyboards and bring up an on-screen layout so I can see the key mapping.

This is helpful when you are chatting in skype with multiple folks in different countries in different languages.

    Re: onboard layout

    Hi,

I installed another layout and I can write in cyrillic. The problem is that when I use onboard (the on-screen keyboard) it still shows the English layout, so in order to know what Im writing I have to have two windows open: one for onboard and one for the layout, which is inconvenient. What I would like to know is where to download a layout for onboard or how to make one.

    Thank you,
    donescamillo
