any problems expected with this laptop?

I found this new laptop on the internet and willing to buy one.
But for me it is very important it works out of the box with ubuntu.
(no worries after everything is messed up

Can you experts have a look at it, and should there be problems expected
    in 9.10 or 10.4 ?

    Many thanks in advance!

    Kubuntu Development Release

Re: any problems expected with this laptop?

I have an HP EliteBook 8440p, which has the same QM57 chipset and GMA HD graphics chip. The Kubuntu Lucid i386 Desktop Beta 2 Live CD doesn't run properly on it. When I select the "try Ubuntu" menu item, the screen stays black, although I eventually hear the KDE start-up sound. See Launchpad bug 557744.

However, an Xubuntu 9.04 Live CD did start properly, and I'm typing this in a session running from a Karmic Kubuntu AMD64 Desktop Live CD, so I have hopes...
