Hi people, I'm planing on buying a new laptop, the HP Pavillion dm3t, with the following configuration:

    # • 4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
    # • 320GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
    # • 13.3" diagonal High-Definition LED HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1366 x 768)
    # • Webcam Only

    Hey,

I was wondering if you ever got this laptop, and installed ubuntu on it. Could you share your experiences?

Cool Re: HP Pavillion dm3t compatibility with Ubuntu

I'm trying to solve a problem with the sound...

I'm not an english speaker, and that's the reason because I don't know how to say my issue...

*The volume at 50% is working fine (bot lower than windows)
*However, if I try to set the volume more than 60-100% the speaker sounds bad... blinks, skips, jump bits of the track... I don't know how to say...! It's my only one problem with ubuntu...

By the way, the sound works great with headphones or send from jack to auxiliar speaker... BUT that is not a solution.
