take OpenSUSE- it's hard to find a distro that supports KDE better than it.
OpenSuSe is kde Centric.
package management is very nice, yast and zypper
Lenovo Ideapad Z585 with the latest Ubuntu.
Mandriva and OpenSUSE do KDE best.

Mandriva 2010 is an easy install with good hardware support.
OpenSuse is so overrated. For some reason people don't tell you about the bad things about it, only about the one good thing, and then you end up having to find out the rest for yourself. Well, I'm not going to tell you either. Enjoy Firefox integration!
