Deluge file check problem

I am using Deluge and it is a great bittorrent client. However there is a file check problem always bugging me. If Deluge is not switched off before shutting down the computer, next time when it loads it will check all the files for integrity automatically. If Deluged is closed before the computer shutdown, next time when it starts it would not check the files.

During the checking process the computer is very slow as the I/O is busy.

The other bittorent clients seem do not have this problem. But I don't want to give up Deluge.
