wireless not working... going insane!

hey guys im going nuts here. i have a encore ENUWI-G wireless card. i follows all the instructions and installed the driver with ndiswrapper (using windows wireless driver app) but it still wont detect the card. i keep getting the error "unable to see if hardware is present" and when i click on the configure network option it says "could not find a network configuration tool". im pretty sure its a simple fix but its driving me up a wall... any help would be appreciated

Ndiswrapper is possibly the worse way to go and may prevent anything else from working.

Reboot with an ethernet cable plugged in and wait for updates. You should have done this first but weren't to know. Good chance you don't need to manually install anything.

Ndiswrapper = nightmare and largely superseded for just about every wireless card available.
