I believe PowerPC is underated as a processor arcitecture.

Just because they are abandoning it, doesn't mean the users have to. Look at 98, it is still kicking pretty well considering its age. In fact I'm installing 2K on a new to me laptop while I'm typing this.
With Microsoft soon closing down security updates, I don't really think it's a good idea to use it in a live environment anymore. I switched to Ubuntu because of this.

I still use it in a VM, until my game servers can run through WINE.

Commodore 64 booted into BASIC. Thanks Mr. Gates WAIT 6502

    GeOS was awesome.
OS/2 had the best chess program.
Windows 3.1 had the best Ski Simulator
Windows 95 had the best viruses
Windows 98 had the best +3 addition to Windows 95.
Windows ME had the best comic generated by http://xkcd.com/323/
Windows XP had the best decade by a Microsoft OS
Windows Vista had the upgrade potential to Windows 7.
I've liked most of the Apple OS breeds since OS X

Ubuntu wins in my book. I like the Netbook Remix. Software should be free.
