Question firefox add-ons not available for linux

Went to put some add-ons on firefox tonight and all of them said "firefox add-ons not available for linux.
Anybody know anything about this? I get the same results on both computers here that were able to get add-ons yesterday.
    Both on "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100214 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.5.8" - from mozella help request link:http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/1/617261?
One comp. is 64bit amd, upgraded from 8.10 and stable for last couple of years, other is fresh install on HP laptop.

Re: firefox add-ons not available for linux

Some of the addons @*https://addons.mozilla.org*are working with firefox ect. But some of the addons are working only with Winblows and so on, i think that it's due some coding on the addons.

For me most of the addons have been working on linux
before asking for help, remember to check man! It helps && saves you!
