Followed instructions and had it installed in no time on my laptop. Using Lucid 10.04 32bit installed with WUBI. Both Scanner and Printer work flawlessly when connected to USB! I'm not sure if I can get it to work using wireless...

The Ubuntu community never seizes to amaze me.... one of the big reasons I've slowly been able to ween myself off windows

Thanks johenkel for pointing out my typo way back then.

My apologies to everyone since for not correcting it sooner, it's corrected now.

Re: Canon MF4350d - Printer Scanner setup

I can't seem to get MF4350d installed for 11.04. Is this solution for Ubuntu before 11.04? Doesn't seem to work for Natty.

I get as far as printing the test page, but when trying that nothing happens. Nothing. Just says job # submitted.

I still cannot get this to work for me. I noticed that when you download from here the canon site, you are downloading version 2.20 instead of 2.0. Could that be making the difference?

Re: Canon MF4350d - Printer Scanner setup

Found this post, worked for me running 11.04

Didn't have to use the last step, but I'm printing over the network. After aliening the RPMs and dpkg'ing the debs, the drivers popped up in my printer driver list.

Re: Canon MF4350d - Printer Scanner setup

Finally got this to work in 11.04 X64. Had to install alien (to convert x64 rpms to debs), libc6-i386 and ia32-libs using Synaptic.

After installing the created debs (cndrvcups-common_2.20-1_amd64.deb, cndrvcups-ufr2-uk_2.20-1_amd64.deb) with GDebi Package Manager,

I started the CUPS web interface http://localhost:631/admin/ and added the printer by following the prompts-
NB There might be several choices. I chose Canon MF4320-4350 (UFRII LT) on connection cnusb:/dev/usblp0, not the fax option.

I want to have your tuxbabies.

Followed what you said. Now I don't need to reboot for scanning.

Thanks for this post. Printing and scanning now working perfectly in Easy Peasy 1.6 on my EeePC 900!
