I also set up burg as the bootloader, I was sick of the grub text when I turn on the netbook.

The only things I need now are right-click and click-and-drag working on the touchpad and the Fn keys working for volume, brightness, etc.

10.10 is fantastic...much faster than Windows 7. Glad I came back to Ubuntu!!
Thanks for the tip. That works for me. Incidentally, I am able to use the Fn keys for volume and brightness. For right-click, tap (but do not press down) the lower-right corner of the touchpad. I think the middle button is the upper-right corner.

Unfortunately, I've switched to Meego instead of Ubuntu for the moment, so I haven't tried this fix. If it works, I'll probably switch back (Meego boots in just a few seconds though, that's going to be tough to give up).
what about the touchscreen in meego?
    does it work?

Gave up on Meego until the 1.1 version which I think will use the newer kernel and would probably work. Great interface for a netbook and especially with touch.
