Don't know if you're still interested in using it, but I fixed the flash problem by adding "exe" to the export GTK_RGBA_APPS line that SoftwareExplorer mentioned above.

Also, posting a video I made of rgba in action if anyone wants to see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdI7kVghCTc

and dual monitor version too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1JysVrvI0g

(dunno which one is better, so meh, uploaded both)

The gray square in nautilus is the background for the animated loading throbber, which isn't transparent (and I'm not sure how to fix that).

You should add gnome-mplayer to the "allbut" list too. It runs, but videos won't play correctly with Xv or VDPAU.

EDIT: Prism won't work - you'll probably need to add xulrunner-1.9 and xulrunner-1.9.1 and maybe prism to the list.

I try to treat the cause, not the symptom. I avoid the terminal in instructions, unless it's easier or necessary. My instructions will work within the Ubuntu system, instead of breaking or subverting it. Those are the three guarantees to the helpee.

Also, chrome and chromium don't work properly if they are set to use GTK+ theme. It's fine on classic theme though. prognames google-chrome and chromium-browser.

Is there a reason that the gtk2-modules-rgba package depends on gnome color chooser and murrine-themes? I already have rgba enabled murrine themes and have no desire to use gnome color chooser to configure my theme, my gtkrc handles that.

I updated the package package to exclude more programs, and to not depend on gnome color chooser or murrine themes.

Hey thanks a lot friend. I hope you left them as recommends or suggests. I can see how they would be useful to non-themers.

Using current lucid plus the xorg-edgers ppa, this along with compiz now runs on Nouveau on this meager nvidia ION based Acer Aspire Revo r3610.

100% Open Source, it's a thing of blingy pointless beauty.

    Not extremely fast though.

On strike during the Oneiric cycle due to ungratefulness of Ubuntu.
