    moonlight olympics

Hi. I've been surfing around trying to make sense of why I can't successfully make moonlight work so that Mrs. can watch her figure skaters. I've done all that I'm told to do, as far as I can comprehend what I'm reading here.

Please remember: I'm in the "Absolute Beginner" forum because there isn't a LOWER forum for me... So tell it to me like I'm a 6 year old...

    Help?
Since it will likely come up again...and again...and again...
Here are my specs: Dell Dimension 2400, 2.66ghz, 1.256GB, 40GB HD.

I Have a Shaw Box and I think that it should work if you have Shaw, it should be on SVOD, But just a simple google search of "Novell Moonlight" or "Microsoft Silverlight 3" and click on the "moonlight.xpi" (or whatever the plugin format is).

Thanks, but that's what I've done (a few times...). No luck.

Currently, to get version 2.99, you need to go here- http://www.go-mono.com/moonlight/prerelease.aspx. Press install, then allow at the top of your browser. Then go watch some curling or bi-athalon or the Mrs.'s figure skaters.

No go. Simply doesn't work. I'm suspicious of the idea that it just happens to be busy every single time I try. I think there's a genuine glitch, but my Linux wherewithal is akin to a toddler stacking blocks in a playpen.

Even still, I have come upon a perfect solution: I gave up! Now THAT'S effective!

    Thanks anyway.

    Yay, Ski Team!
