Yesterday Open-DNS informed me that malware activity had been detected on my network. Which is strange because the only devices on my network are two ubuntu computers, a printer, and a ps3.
So I decided to give KlamAV a try it ran its scan and came up with a bunch of candidates for quarantine, all of which looked realistic like a number of .exe's associated with picasa, as well as a number of encrypted zipped files that had names like windows self installer.
after the quarantine I am now unable to logon to my computer, it gets to the login screen but then tells me that it is unable to update the ICElogin file.
Is there a way to boot to safe mode and then undo the klamav quarantine?
