Unhappy Dell Inspiron 1150 bcm4306 wireless troubles

I have tried everything while googling and such to try to get my laptop to connect to the internet wirelessly through its bcm4306 integrated/controller wireless card. I've done my homework and here they are lspci, ifconfig, iwconfig, and lshw -C network:

    Code:
    natel@natel-laptop:~$ lshw -C network

I have seen resolutions for bcm4318 and such but nothing for bcm4306 even though they are on the same machine.

Re: Dell Inspiron 1150 bcm4306 wireless troubles

Everything (as far as my knowledge extends) looks pretty good above. Can you try a

    sudo iwlist wlan0 scan

in the terminal (Applications>>Accessories>>Terminal) and see if you see your AP or any others?

By the way here is a similar thread about your card

    http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1400427

By the way it seems necessary to reboot after installation.
