automatic logout after i dropped my thinkpad

    hello,

i love my thinkpad r51. i am clumsy and i dropped my thinkpad.
now it keeps logging out on its own.

    heres what happens:

i am using karmic koala, like normal, using chromium, inkscape etc, and suddenly it logs out. no warning.

i see black and white screen, with text such as:

'stopping firestarter firewall' 'stopping nmbd' etc

what do i do? is there a way of 'disabling' logout, so that the system never logs out?

surely whats happening is: something is sending a trigger to karmic to logout pronto; can i use this trigger to make something else happen, like give me a warning, or something else?

    please help!

...if this loginout problem also happens in another 'os' besides ubuntu...sad to say that this could be a hardware problem.

...i see, try booting on your live cd for observation purposes, say for a few hours or so.
