adding hardware

Hello friends

I'm going to be installing a new dvd burner and was wondering if Ubuntu will do an automatic recognition hardware or do i have to install drivers that comes in cd with
new burner?Thanks

As far as I know Ubuntu finds it automatically. I dont see why brasero wont work with it.

but im new so dont take it as an absolute truth.

I honestly don't know if Ubuntu will find it automatically or not, although I think so.
As far as the drivers on the CD go, they are almost certainly of no use to you in Ubuntu. They will most likely be only for windows, maybe for mac, very unlikely that there will be anything linux relevant there at all.
