ksoftirqd/1 uses 100% of CPU

Hi folks, the ksoftirqd/1 thread has insanely high usage of cpu. The kernel was just upgraded to 2.6.31-19-generic, but the problem is still there.

Anyone has the same problem here?

same issue.. just started... ubuntu server 9.04

would love to hear if there's a known issue going around.. i also heard word of a ddos on port 22 possibly causing this but i can't verify that for my system at this time

mine seems to be more correlated to network traffic spikes in general (for me, its streaming an AVI over internal LAN)
