    Android and Ubuntu

    is there a simple way to convert my videos into a format playable on my motorola droid?

    The droid can play MP4s, can it not? Try using Handbrake.

    Ive tried both the winff and avidemux version, for some reason winff seems to have a higher quality....

    I'd use Handbrake with the iPhone setting, since Androids have a similar size screen. Make sure not to use the .m4v extension, though.
