Smile 9.10 Wireless Internet Help/Network Manager.

So I have a Dell Inspiron 1545, with

    BCM4312 802.11 b/g
    14e4:4315

Because I couldn't/(cant) get wireless to work, I was able to activate "Broadcom STA wirless Driver " using Hardware Drivers.

Wireless still inoperative...I had installed WICD which didn't help, so I moved back to Network Manager. Upon clicking Network Manager (upper right panel) it says "Wireless Disabled". If i then right-click>edit connections>wirless, it is all blank. Even when i simply right click> it wont let me
    check "enable" wireless.

Under Add Wireless connection, I am unfamiliar with how to proceed. Any suggestions?

    Lightbulb Solved!

    SOLVED!

So I assume this is pretty basic but I figured it out.

    1. I had to download the Broadcom STA Driver (as stated in main post)
    2. Using System>Admin>Hardware Drivers: activate the STA Driver
    3. Restart
    4. Upon looking Network Manager, no wireless networks were found....so
    A. I knew the name of an open wireless connection so click "connect to hidden connection"
    B. Type name/connect
    C. connected...then allowing me to see all other wireless connections!

Not suggesting this is the way i should have solved it, but that it solved my problem in the way I had it.
