I'm looking an easy way to format in btrfs a new hard drive in ubuntu for hosting my downloads.
It will be /media/M500, now is in NTFS with errors, and I abandoned MS WOS XP 6 months ago I almost copied all the information to my other ext4 partitions.
But Gparted do not allow me to format this disk in btrfs
An I did not find what to download to do it by console orders and add it to fstab if it is not automatically made.
I have seen Gparted versions (v7) that allows btrfs format, but I cannot find where to upgrade with a deb package, (mine is 0.6.2 Ubuntu 10.10, and the link from the program refers to the ISO Gparted disk image.
Thanks in advance for the upgrade, if it is possible, and for your previous work.
I am a semi-advanced user, I try to learn every day a little bit, but I like to do things in an easy way. If it is possible.
