Don't give me the "my English has failed me" story, I told you exactly what to search for and what it is called. I even linked to relevant web pages that had the information you are looking for. Just stop this passive aggressive BS. Please do at least the slightest bit of research on the commands you find on the internet BEFORE you run it on your machine. Otherwise the next command you run might destroy your machine. It's not like the command you ran was super complicated, there are basically 3 things you need to research, but let me spoon feed you.

    sudo
    From http://linux.die.net/man/8/sudo
sudo, sudoedit - execute a command as another user
    echo
    From http://unixhelp.ed.ac.uk/CGI/man-cgi?echo
echo - display a line of text
    >
    http://tldp.org/LDP/abs/html/io-redirection.html
    1>filename
    # Redirect stdout to file "filename."
So using that knowledge, and looking at the command you ran

    Code:
    sudo echo options psmouse proto=exps > /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.modprobe
you see that while running as another user (in this case, root) you used echo to redirect "options psmouse proto=exps" to the file /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.modprobe

To reverse that you will need to edit that file (/etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.modprobe) and remove the line (the last line, honestly probably the only line) that says "options psmouse proto=exps". Then reboot the machine.

Any other issues you are having (eg. your no sound issue) was likely caused by a different command that you got from the internet and failed to research properly.

Re: HP Mini 210 touchpad right click not working

Looks like I had been taking things for granted. Apology. But even after spending more than two hours, using provided information, if you can't find a single easy way to revert, things do seem frustrating.

Anyways, I had shared my problem with my friend and he advised me to delete that psmouse.modprobe file and run the code which I had tried earlier but with some changes.

    sudo echo options psmouse proto=exps > /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.modprobe

    Changed code :

    sudo echo options psmouse proto=imps > /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.modprobe

And that was it. Now my touchpad is working but seems a bit hyperactive. thats all.

And after doing this, even sound is working now. Don't know what happened.

Thank you for taking time to help me.

    Code:
    1. Download psmouse-3.0.0-12-generic.tar.bz2
    2. sudo apt-get install dkms build-essential
    3. cd /home/downloads
    4. tar jxvf psmouse-3.0.0-12-generic.tar.bz2
    5. sudo mv psmouse-3.0.0-12-generic /usr/src
    6. cd /usr/src
    7. sudo chmod -R a+rx psmouse-3.0.0-12-generic
    8. sudo dkms add -m psmouse -v 3.0.0-12-generic
    9. sudo dkms build -m psmouse -v 3.0.0-12-generic
    10. sudo dkms install -m psmouse -v 3.0.0-12-generic
    11. sudo shutdown -r now

Confirmed work on HP Mini 210 - 1002TU.

    Now I have:
    1) Right click
    2) click and drag
    3) two-finger scrolling
    4) edge scrolling

I can't disable the touchpad on the top left (I have an hp pavilion dv5).

I'm not sure if I can attribute these results to just this patch since I tried a few different fixes before I found this, but it did fix the right click and click and drag problem for me.

    Let us know your results.

    This works!!
    Thanks!

This is what I did and I hope it works for you too (obviously I can't guarantee anything):

    1. Download the attached file to your computers desktop
    2. sudo apt-get install dkms build-essential
    3. cd ~/Desktop
    4. tar jxvf psmouse-2.6.38-8-generic.tar.bz2
    5. sudo mv psmouse-2.6.38-8-generic /usr/src
    6. cd /usr/src
    7. sudo chmod -R a+rx psmouse-2.6.38-8-generic
    8. sudo dkms add -m psmouse -v 2.6.38-8-generic
    9. sudo dkms build -m psmouse -v 2.6.38-8-generic
    10. sudo dkms install -m psmouse -v 2.6.38-8-generic
    11. sudo shutdown -r now
    12. dkms status

The output of the last command should look similar to this (with no errors):
    "psmouse, 2.6.38-8-generic, 2.6.38-8-generic, i686: installed"

You can go ahead and delete the files on your desktop. If everything went well you can even right click to select "Move To Wastebasket".

    Good luck!
I've been reading over this thread, to get right click functionality on my HP Laptop, and so far only have gotten partially to normal use. I tried this, and at step 9, I get an error stating "bad return status on module...". I was hoping to just get right click, and no tap to click on the touchpad part itself.

Once the computer reboots your trackpad will be able to do left click and drag and right clicking.
How do you undo this? This leaves my mousepad without any multi-touching options

    #283 worked perfectly for me.
U should upgrade kernel to >3 and download the last patched psmouse-3.0.0-12-generic (not 2.6) than follow the instruction.

Thanx to this thread now it works!
