Yup, barcodes are pretty sweet. I use Barcode Scanner for android, it's pretty sweet.

That's why I'm actually breaking down the format. I'm teaching a unit on Android programming to a group of 8th grade programming students. I am using that same program.

Android Market (Smartphone) has a free scanner you can download that handles QR barcodes. I'd be interested to know if Apple iPhone has one.
