Noob needing help with Processor Compatibility.

    Hey,
can someone recommend a pretty good processor for my Advent 5611 laptop?
currently running Ubuntu 10.04, needing the processor for gaming via WinE.
My chipset is Intel G965 Express.
My current CPU is Intel Celeron Dual Core T1600 (1.66GHz)
Also upgrading to 2GB of RAM.

I don't want an amazing processor, I'm just looking for a better one that can handle TF2 and WOW on Wine.
Price isn't much of an issue.
    Thanks in advance ^_^

EDIT: also, how hard is it to access the CPU? for anyone that might know.

In my experience laptop cpus are soldered to the board. The pins are extremely close together, so unless you are a very experienced soldering guru the chances of shorting it out & damaging it & possibly the mobo are high. They are mechanically float soldered on in the factory.
Suggest you stick with what you've got. If you want something more powerful then look into buying a new laptop.

Just looked at an old Compaq M700 mobo I have & can not even see the cpu pins as it's a double sided/density circuit board.

Some of them are, some of them arent. It looks like the advent 5611 is one of the models with a socket-

The hard part with upgrading laptops with CPU sockets is it can be hard to figure out what will, and wont run in there. I wouldnt even hazard a guess as to what CPUs will work with that laptop. Its possible that advent themselves, or some overclocking/hardware site would know what CPU you can upgrade to.....if its even possible to upgrade the CPU.
