    Lightbulb Fedora 12

downloading Fedora 12 to give it a try since I downloaded 2 other iso's (kahel & NuTyx)...Yeah I know I am a risk taker or perhaps just curious.

I guess I know what I'll be doing tonight.

Hi there, I downloaded Fedora 12 (gnome) and burned a live cd. Not installed it on the hard disk but have used it from the CD. I like it and if it wasn't for the fact I installed Ubuntu first I'd have installed Fedora 12 now.

Yeah I like it also but am only running it from a live CD, I also may not install it - it is very nice.

Tried to run the installer but it did not want to play nice with my hard drives for what ever reason so I left.

I am sure it is something easy to overcome but I really just wanted to take a look.

Overall fedora 12 (KDE) is awesome! I can't speak for the other versions but if you like KDE it looks like fedora 12 is the way to go.

Fedora is a great distro. I use the gnome version, and I love it. For KDE, I'd probably go with OpenSuSE for the "out of the box" distros, but fedora is still very nice.

Did it crash at the partitioning stage? I know someone else who kept having that problem. Not sure of a solution.
