    32x32 squares on my windows?

When I start programs and sometimes just move the mouse away from the window, little squares popup around the window title and around the border. I am using the GeForce 260 and I tried updating the drivers from the nvidia website (I don't know if it was successful or not).

I don't know what else could do it, does anyone have any ideas?

http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/7078/screenshotxxn.png is a screenshot of what is happening.

Edit: It also happens when I play Tetravex. If I hover over the tiles and then move my mouse away, black squares appear over the titles.

That's definitely related to your graphics card. Could be a driver issue (if you don't know if you succesfully installed the drivers then you probably didn't), but in worst case it could just be that your graphics card is broken or overheating.

Check that the card's cooling fan is working, and is not full of dust or anything. After that try to get the driver installed. If that doesn't solve the problem then your card is probably busted, you might be able to continue using it if you disable desktop effects and avoid all graphics-intensive stuff but buying a new one before the card fails completely would be a good idea.

Check nvidia config for those temps.

My card works fine on Windows Vista and is fairly new.

If the card is working properly in Windows, the cause is most likely the vga driver which isn't regulating the fan speed properly, so the card gets too hot.
Try updating to the latest driver and see if it's any better.

That's what the nvidia settings says, which if you think it is the driver, the info could be wrong?

Purged old drivers and installed newest ones. Said it was successful but the problem still exists.

I don't think it's overheating, this only happens on select things and some pages it happens really bad. It happens tons on on the window borders, it's ALL over the new Google images, a few pages from Google (like their forums) does it to. Other forums do it, and usually it happens in blank spaces (which is weird?).

After driver update this is now what the page says:
