VLC Player's subtitle not centered and too big

    Good evening! (GMT+8)

I have this problem regarding VLC. THe problem is that whenever I play a dvd the subtitle is off the mark. It's too big and not centered at all, overlapping the black part of the player.

But, some dvd I have didn't show some errors like that. What could be the sol'n in here?

I dunno what version i'm using but here's what i found:

Compiler: gcc version 4.2.1 - sjlj. Qt4 interface.

    Thanks!

As far as subs on dvd's you are for the most part sol, very little can be done.
Vlc (or at least the ver. I'm using - 1.0.4) can force a dvd's subs position, though it's only up or down. Font size/color and left/right can't be adjusted.

(in windows there is a vob editor for dvd subs that can pretty much adjust anything on a ripped dvd - 'DVDSubEdit'

maybe try forcing them up/down and see if that helps, otherwise try another player, it may position them differently. (sub support for software dvd players is a bit of hit or miss
