Anyone here know of any good ntp servers in WA that allow public access? Using the 'Web Search' on ntp.org for 'WA' or 'Washington' returns seven time servers, only *one* of which is marked 'Open Access'. That one server 'time-nw.nist.gov' appears to be hosted by Microsoft... is that the best/all we have in this state? Obviously the pool servers will work just fine, but I thought generally the closer (geographically speaking) the time server, the better? Thanks, Monte

Although it purports to be a level-1 NTP server, it permits individuals to connect. I've been doing it since 2002. bigben.cac.washington.edu Good luck
