    small upgrade question

i would really like to upgrade to 9.10 karmic but since the only internet access i have at the moment is mobile broadband (yes optus 3g), i can't

i know the first official release in october didn't support the huawei e620 usb dongles but newer kernels do. if i do an upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10 NOW, will i be upgrading to the latest kernel or will it be original one so many of us were having problems with?

I have Karmic on my laptop and was unaware of any problems. I am using a Huawei E160G on the road and a DLink DWA-110 at home.

There's always the option to order a free installation CD from the Ubuntu store https://shipit.ubuntu.com/ but bear in mind that it may take a few weeks.
And 9.10 will have one of the latest kernel updates on it, and will update to the latest one with minimal download quota cost. But I sincerely say that, upgrade to 9.10 as it will be worth your while

    Oh, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Oh and just so you don't fret... Apparently at first, the dongle won't work until you update Ubuntu/the kernels, so might wanna get your laptop onto a wired network or something other than your mobile card.
Got the bug from https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...er/+bug/456662 and this was the solution https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/456662/comments/10
    Nice and easy
