Cool Ubuntu 9.10 does not see video card

    Hello all

I have an MSI GSX630 gaming notebook with a NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics card.

Ubuntu will not see the graphics card.

If I boot from the 9.10 live CD, ubuntu sees the card no problem, however when using the computer as normal w/o the live CD ubuntu does no see the card at all, really frustrating.

Can anyone offer up any help please?

    EDIT

Let me clarify, when I say ubuntu does not see the card, I mean
when I go to System>Administration>Hardware Drivers, nothing is listed.
    Thank you

How to determine what is your display card or whether Ubuntu found your video card?
