thanks exosyt!!!
Is any one else having trouble changing the background? I'm running Lucid on a couple of Dell machines - no problems on the laptop, but on the desktop I can select a new background image but when I click OK nothing happens. Nothing also happens if I press cancel - have to use the close X to get back to the initial gdm2setup screen.
If you are having problems changing the background image check to make sure the "/usr/share/images/xsplash" directory actually exists. It did not in my installation and I had to manually create it. Until the directory exists background changes will not stick.
If using Gnome you can also play with GDM themes by using this command
"gksudo -u gdm dbus-launch gnome-appearance-properties"
It works for me but your mileage may vary.
BeforeI installed GDM2, there had been the user list in the login screen when I enabled autologin in 10 seconds. Now it is not there. I have to choose between Autologin or User list. Both are not available at the same time. What is the point in allowing 10 seconds for autologin if there is no user list?
Is there any setting I can change to get it back?
How can I use a signature in forums?
Is there a way for me to change the font used in the GDM2 login screen? I have GDM2Setup but there appears to be no font selection option.
