    Macbook 5,3 fan/temperature problems

I successfully installed karmic 9.10 on a brand new macbook 5,3, but the temperature always runs hot. I can manually edit /sys/devices/platform/applesmc/fan1_min and make it around 5000 which seems to work ok, but isn't there a way to automatically set the fan speed to properly control the temperature?

At 3200 rpm, the core temps typically run into the 60s Celsius and if I play a game it can get up to 70C.

Isn't there a way to fix this problem with automated fan control?

I i had the same problem running leopard and snow leopard in a Macbookpro,
i found in internet an application that let you set the speed of the fan in a gui but is running just in OSX the name is Smart Fan Control.
