Question My CRT monitor, 512MB AGP card, and a VGA->DVI adapter...

I have a VGA CRT monitor and i just purchased a Radeon HD2600 512MB AGP 8x video card. I installed the video card, plugged in the monitor with the adapter on it, and all i get is a blank screen, is there something im missing or does this not work?

first question would be if you can see your bios screen, ensuring a good connection

im assuming that you have video built into nother board. if so pulg monitor into it. now if this gives you a screen to work with, open a terminal and enter lspci and see if the card is being reconized. also heres some reading on drivers...

another thought, check to be sure that you have not exceeded your power supply specifications
