Question What are the best cel phones options to sync contacts with linux

I`d like to know what are the best (and (cheapest) cel phones options to sync contacts with linux. There is little about it on the net.

I`never tried but I believe that transfering pictures, movies, songs and other multimidia content is a lot easier than syncing contacts, although it would be necessary too.

Please, don`t tell me it`s android, cause I can`t afford it here, at 3rd world countries.

    Thanks

If you have a Google account there are loads of phones that you can sync your contacts with. There are great instructions on the Google website for how to set this up as well!

    Hallo.
I have been using open sync to synchronise my NOKIA E61 with Evolution for about 18 months, but it is broken since I updated to 9.10.

It actually isn't that hard to do, but the threads are long.

    Here is some reading:

Is there a more recommended model or brand?

I am using Gammu http://www.gammu.org/wiki/index.php?...e_to_Gammu.org to transfer my contacts between phone and computer. It seems to support almost any phone.

The photos and other media just appear as a USB flash memory when the phone is plugged in, so any ordinary file manager will copy those.
