    Missing Resources

    Hi,
I've installed Karmic Koala on my Acer Travelmate 8100. I've placed on an external USB HDD, whereas in the internal disk I have the original XP. The installation correctly went, but now I have some problem: my system sporadically hangs up, showing me an alert: "missing resources". The text in the alert box is displayed with square font. I can't even shut down the system. If I press the power button it switch to text only screen and I've get a message like this: "etx3-fs error ... ext3_find_entry: reading directory..."
    tnx for your help

'ext3-fs error' is related to the Linnux file system. It could be anything, starting from the failing disk to a loose usb connection.

    Yes, thanks!
I've found it was the USB port: I've attached the external HDD to another USB port: now the system is completly stable! I haven't got any other crash for over 36 hours of continuously work!
