    Printer Card Reader

I recently installed Ubuntu 8.04 on an older computer, Hewlett Packard Vectra VL5/166 Series (Pentium 166 MHz, 96 MB RAM) which had been running Windows 98 Second Edition. I was able to easily install a HP Photosmart 7760 printer. Unfortunately, Ubuntu does not recognized the printer's built-in card reader. I would like to transfer photos using the printer. How can I get them to communicate?

you might have to install HPLIP. Simply google "HPLIP" and click on the first result, and there are really detailed instructions on getting it to go.

Can I install HLIP without having the computer connected to the internet? Can I download HLIP to a flash drive and then transfer the files to the computer?
