Hello, I read in a Linux magazine about Free Geek and found it very interesting. Unfortunately, I looked at their website and it seems that there is not a chapter in Arizona. Do any of you know if any similar opportunities exist in the state? I would specifically be interested in the hardware side but anything would be nice. Really, it would just be nice to volunteer anywhere where I could get some hands on experience with different configurations of hardware/software. So I guess it doesn't really have to involve Linux but just computing at large. Thanks for the help.

Freegeek has a franchise operation system, I don't know the startup costs though. I have some affiliation with the 1st one in Ore.
Unfortunately I don't think I have the experience or knowledge to start up a new one. I was wondering if there were any similar organizations here in Arizona that I could volunteer for. Basically anything involving the construction of computers would be ideal.
