Dell Inspiron 15 preinstalled Ubuntu

I have a question regarding Dell Inspiron 15 laptop.

I saw these two offers for the mentioned model of laptop.

the main difference between them is that one version has Intel GMA 4500 and more disk while the other has ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 512MB.

Another major difference is the preinstalled system. Both have Ubuntu preinstalled. One has 9.04, the other one has 8.10. So if i install 9.10 will it work out of the box?

The Radeon is by a large margin the fastest of the two.

9.10 should run out of the box on both devices.

yah should.

just as version 9.10 should run on HP Compaq 615 since version 9.04 basically runs out of the box. but it doesn't.
my question is will it run? has anyone tried it already?

eventhough i understand you can compalie an ISO with all dell drivers,s o that you can reinstall the original version in case o some failure or something...
