Exclamation Cant get BCM70012 HD decoder card to work

    Hello everyone,

I have an HP MINI 110-1100CP with the Broadcom Crystal HD Decoder (BCM70012). I am wondering if anyone has got this card to work with Ubuntu 9.10. I cant seem to find any info on this or drivers for it. I am a total noob to Ubuntu and Linux in general.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I just ordered one for my Acer ONE D250. Now I just need a ram upgrade and maybe a SSD and I'll be set.

    http://www.broadcom.com/support/crystal_hd/

    http://xbmc.org/davilla/2009/12/29/b...-hd-its-magic/

    git upstream tree at http://git.wilsonet.com/crystalhd.git/

lot's of action in xbmc forums where support has been added to xbmc on all three platforms (osx/linux and windows).

Re: Cant get BCM70012 HD decoder card to work

Can't get the decoder to work as well. I have xbmc installed and lucid with the latest updates. I installed libcrystalhd1 and libcrystalhd1-dev from synaptic. In xbmc i don't get the hardware accelleration. I tried the drivers from the broadcom website yet all the forums describing what to do don't seem to work. Does anyone have a simple descreption of how to make these drivers work in lucid?
