    Wireless Internet in Karmic, Ubuntu 9.10

    I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop with dual boot of AMD64 edition of Ubuntu 9.10 and Windows 7. I have set up a wireless network using a Huawei WA1003A wireless router. I have proprietory driver installed for my WLAN card.

    I am able to connect to the wireless network but I am not able to browse the internet. Though I am able to ping the websites in the terminal. I can also open the website if I enter the ip address obtained by using ping but if I enter the url the website doesnt open. I have tried this on both Firefox and Konqueror but they both show the same problem. I am really confused.
