1. ## What are some of the most beatiful math equations?

I'm partial to Euler's identity.

A video that relates a little:

What are some that you're partial to? Adv Reply

I like the heat equation.

I actually know how to use that and have derived things with it, which scares me. It's pretty though. Look at all those partial derivatives. Adv Reply

i like bernoulli's theorem,

applied to a jet engine

(1 - M^2)du/u = - dA/A

with M - mach number it's the best, one simple equation to explain the shape of a jet exhaust. Adv Reply

The Leibniz formula for pi probably intrigues me the most. f(x) = e^x is up there too. Adv Reply

Mine would be the Taylor series. Just something about watching rational functions converge towards a non-elementary rule. Adv Reply
