Installing Downloaded Apps on iPhone from Ubuntu

Does anybody know of a way to install downloaded apps (.ipa) to a jail-broken iPhone or iPod Touch?

I've got GNUPod installed and it works great for my music but I've got a few hundred apps that I'd like to put on my iPhone in the meantime

Simplest method that I've found is using SFTP:

    sftp://root@itouch/var/mobile/Library/Downloads

transfer any IPA files to this path.

Download Installous (Google It!) thru Cydia, click on downloads and click on any App to Install.
