    Question I need help

ok im dual booting vista and ubuntu and well i just updated somethings in linux so now when i restart my computer there is another linix option to choose from for example it kinda looks like this:

linux 1.11 (not exactully like this i dont remember the numbers but close enough)
    linux 1.12
    linux recovery
    windows recovery
    windows 1.11

so my question is if it is even possible how can i get rid of the other linux option ?

    thank you in advance

    Re: I need help

What you are seeing is the "old" kernel as well as the new one from the update.

It is possible to remove it if you want to, but:
I don't know exactly how. You will have to look for instructions yourself

It is not costing you any significant amount of space, much less than 1GB

It is recommended to keep at least two kernel versions on the computer. If something goes wrong with the new one, you can boot into the old one.

To echo audiomick; it's recommended that you keep it as a backup (unless you are really short on space).
