    Question Problems with 9.10 install?

I'm curious whether local ubuntu users are hearing reports of problems with the install of 9.10. I have a single boot desktop running 9.04 and its working fine for my needs. I plan to do a clean install of 9.10 from disk. Where are the trouble spots? Any way to avoid them?

    Re: Problems with 9.10 install?

    Hey there,

There are various problems that could occur with an upgrade, if your unsure you could always pop by a Tuesday evening at the South End Tech Center in Boston, there people are on hand in case something goes wrong.

Most of the time though, it'll go right and your system will survive.

Just remember to make a backup.

The problems I had: without the closed nvidia driver, it wouldn't suspend. Firefox was broken until I got an update, and a handful of other issues with specific programs that aren't installed by default.
