    Re: HOWTO INSTALL WIZARDPEN DRIVER FOR iball TABLET

    drpjkurian, thanks for your reply. I have been waiting for it for two weeks and I am very glad that eventually it is my turn to get help! Thank you!

    As I show in my original post, I did not use Synaptic to install the driver
    http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...3&postcount=61

    so I have just tried to look for "wizard" in Synaptic but no package was selected and consequently removable, as I expected.

    Is there another way to remove this driver and all the stuff I've been installing as shown in the post of above?

    Thank you again!

    It seems that there is no problem with compiling but with something else. Do you have any hint on this one? BTW i am using Kubuntu 9.10 64-bit.

    Hi Manolomaolo

    Please go to the folder where you have compiled it and enter the command for uninstallation

    Code:
    cd /usr/lib/xorg/modules
    Code:
    sudo make uninstall

    Re: HOWTO INSTALL WIZARDPEN DRIVER FOR iball TABLET

    Hi Dr. Kurian and favux

    You people are really quite helpful as it looks! great job

    I just want to tell that I have done what the tablesetupwizardpen had to tell.
    I created fdi file that is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>
    <deviceinfo version=”0.2”>
    <device>
    <!-- UC-LOGIC Tablet WP5540U -->
    <match key="info.product" contains="UC-LOGIC WP5540U">
    <merge key="input.x11_driver" type="string">wizardpen</merge>
    <merge key="info.product" type="string">stylus</merge>
    <merge key="input.x11_options.SendCoreEvents" type="string">true</merge>
    <merge key="input.x11_options.TopX" type="string">2199</merge>
    <merge key="input.x11_options.TopY" type="string">3598</merge>
    <merge key="input.x11_options.BottomX" type="string">30325</merge>
    <merge key="input.x11_options.BottomY" type="string">29278</merge>
    <merge key="input.x11_options.MaxX" type="string">30325</merge>
    <merge key="input.x11_options.MaxY" type="string">29278</merge>
    </match>
    </device>
    </deviceinfo>

    and I also edited xorg.conf to include
    Section "InputDevice"
    Identifier "WizardPen Tablet"
    Option "SendCoreEvents" "true"
    Driver "wizardpen"
    Option "Name" "UC-LOGIC tablet WP5540U"
    Option "Device" "/dev/tablet-event"
    Option "TopX" "2199"
    Option "TopY" "3598"
    Option "BottomX" "30325"
    Option "BottomY" "29278"
    Option "MaxX" "30325"
    Option "MaxY" "29278"
    EndSection
    InputDevice "WizardPen Tablet" "AlwaysCore"

    I don't understand what server layout is.... so what they told to do in serverlayout I did like this..
    What happens is it doesnot detect movements from pen as well as mouse..
    I don't have any output in case of grep -i wizard /var/log/Xorg.0.log
    I don't have any idea how to move forward..

    one more thing..
    the out put of this command..
    cat /sys/bus/usb/devices/*/product
    USB2.0-CRW
    Tablet WP5540U
    EHCI Host Controller
    EHCI Host Controller
    UHCI Host Controller
    UHCI Host Controller
    UHCI Host Controller
    UHCI Host Controller
    UHCI Host Controller

    I appreciate any assistance as soon as possible...
    Tons of Thanks in advance!!!!
