Sony Digital Voice Editor 3 on Wine - no USB

    Hi,
I made the mistake of buying a Sony voice recorder without checking for compatibility - the only way to download sound files to the computer is to use their proprietary software not available for Linux. I managed to install the software - Sony Digital Voice Editor 3 - on Wine. It seems to work, except that it does not detect the voice recorder when I plug it in to the USB port. Is there any way to get this working, besides using it on a virtual machine?

Re: Sony Digital Voice Editor 3 on Wine - no USB

Hello, it turns out that I do have the same problem and I use my voice recorder almost everyday. How could I manage to install this programme in linux or ubuntu or wine?
Haven't the codecs/drivers been adapted to ubuntu/linux yet?

If anyone could help I would appreciate it!

    Cheers!
