Wrong forum.
Personally, I don't want any of the features of Windows, that's the reason I run Linux.

Absolutely none
None. Never. Ever.
The last thing we need is a 2nd Windows. The one that already exists is more than enough ...
BTW:
Linux is not Windows. Never was. Never will be.

Let's see.... Instability, malware, lack of security and lack of privacy. Oh and best of all, calling Microsoft for permission to upgrade your computer so you can re-activate it.
Naw, if you want Windows, use Windows.

Hi,
I just want Linux/Ubuntu to become a household name like windows is. I can't think of any specific features from windows I would like to see in Ubuntu though. Ubuntu already has everything windows has to offer, and some of it is better in my opinion (mainly speaking of security and filesystem). This doesn't mean that I don't like Windows though, because I do... I just rather be using Linux.
Oh wait, I just thought of something. A linux version of DirectX, to give game developers a little more than OpenGL to work with.
Btw, you didn't say what you would like to see.
James.
I started this thread only to know if anybody needed anything from windows like me. Don't get furious.
When selecting/deselecting an option in a dialog box, one has to press BOTH Alt key + hot key. As it is plainly visible that we do not type any text, why the Alt is mandatory? Is there any work around so that one can just press the hot key alone to select the option ?
This is one feature of windows that I love.
Thanks for any reply.

I definitely wouldn't mind something similar to Aero Peak and jump lists. However, those are more likely to be implemented in KDE while I use GNOME.
