That's good to hear! My Air 3,2 runs Gentoo, so I didn't actually get to test it against Natty.

Hopefully by the end of the day I'll have a Debian package and Gentoo ebuild available for download so people don't have to compile anymore.

Packages are now available for xf86-input-mtrack. See my new thread at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=10682051.

Thanks BlueDragonX! Your fork works *much* better for me. Thanks for documenting all the options too. I've uploaded a package for Arch Linux here: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=48505

This is a trackpad driver, not a touchscreen driver. I will not be integrating any touchscreen features into this driver as it is only intended to support trackpads.

The code underneath the gesture recognition portion of the driver would be a good place to start if you want to create your own, though.

Asking nicely doesn't make it feasible. It just doesn't make any sense to built a monolithic touchpad/touchscreen driver.

Besides that, other people are already working on Ubuntu touchscreen support. Do some Googling.

If you want help, please open a new thread in the proper section. There are other people on the forums who are better able to help you with this.
